বেনাপোল প্রতিনিধি : বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা আর যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় যশোরের শার্শায় বিভিন্ন কর্মসূচির মধ্য দিয়ে মহান স্বাধীনতা দিবস পালিত হয়েছে।
শনিবার (২৬মার্চ) সকালে স্বাধীনতা দিবসের প্রথম প্রহরে বেনাপোল কাগজপুকুর শহীদ স্মৃতিসৌধে ৩৪ বার তোপধ্বনির মাধ্যমে দিবসটির শুভ সূচনা করা হয়। এদিন সকালে শহীদ স্মৃতিসৌধে ফুল দিয়ে শ্রদ্ধা জানান যশোর-১ (শার্শা) আসনের সাংসদ শেখ আফিল উদ্দিন, উপজেলা মুক্তিযোদ্ধা সংসদ, স্থানীয় রাজনীতিক, সামাজিক ও শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের পক্ষ থেকে শহীদ মিনারে পূস্পমাল্য অর্পণ করা হয়। পুষ্পার্ঘ অর্পণ শেষে শহীদদের রুহের মাগফেরাত কামনা করে মোনাজাত করা হয়। সকাল ৯টায় ঐতিহ্যবাহী শার্শা উপজেলা শেখ রাসেল মিনি স্টেডিয়াম মাঠে বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা-প্রতিষ্ঠানের অংশগ্রহণে কুচকাওয়াজ ও শারীরিক চর্চা এবং চিত্রাংকন প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। এ সময় অংশগ্রহণকারী বিভিন্ন শিক্ষা-প্রতিষ্ঠানকে পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়।
পরে শার্শা উপজেলা প্রশাসনের আয়োজনে আলোচনা সভা ও পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন সাংসদ সদস্য আলহাজ্ব শেখ আফিল উদ্দিন। অনুষ্ঠানে আরো উপস্থিত ছিলেন, শার্শা উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান সিরাজুল হক মঞ্জু, সহকারী কমিশনার (ভূমি) রাসনা শারমিন মিথি, জেলা পরিষদের সদস্য অধ্যক্ষ ইব্রাহিম খলিল, শার্শা থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মামুন খান, বেনাপোল পোর্ট থানা অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) কামাল ভুঁইয়া, মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আলেযা ফেরদৌস ও শাসক ও জেলা মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কমান্ডার মোজাফ্ফর হোসেন প্রমূখ।
